AARP Tax Return Help (February 1 - April 13)
Appointments are now being taken for income tax preparation for low and middle income taxpayers, with special attention to those aged 50 and older. This free service is available to Aiken County area residents. Taxes are prepared by volunteer counselors who are trained by the IRS. Tax returns are prepared and filed electronically.

Please bring copies of your year 2014 Federal and State tax returns and year 2015 W-2’s, 1099’s, and other relevant materials, including health insurance coverage for taxpayer, spouse, and dependents. Form 1095-A should also be brought for health insurance purchased through the (ObamaCare) Marketplace/Exchange.  Electronic filing requires photo ID and social security cards for all dependents. Taxpayers who file jointly must both be present to sign the return.
